The state government announced this week that the ban on public open homes and on-site auctions would be lifted from next weekend.
The bans have been in place since March 25, and while the industry has made some short-term adaptations (video walk-throughs and online auctions), the return to the long-standing traditions will be welcome for many in the industry.
From a conveyancing perspective, we’ll be continuing to operate with as much online interactivity as possible.
Aside from the physical distancing, the online processes we’ve adopted have proven to be extremely helpful for our clients that may struggle to book physical appointments for work/family reasons.
It helps to free up their precious time, with more convenient options now available such as:
· online meetings (eg Zoom)
· online ID verification systems (WebVOI) via smartphones
· electronic signing of documents (Docusign)
Activities like signing documents and getting your identity verified only take 5-10 minutes to complete, so the ability for our clients to action these tasks at home/office makes complete sense and has been well received so far.
If you have any questions about your situation, contact me via leah@stevensconveyancing.com.au or call 0414 894 031 to discuss OR feel free to book in a Zoom meeting to discuss.
